Veena George said that this incident is very unfortunate. More than half of the dead are from Kerala and most of those under treatment are also from Kerala. According to the Health Minister, around 30 people have entered Kuwait from Kerala. Out of which 7 are in ICU.

The three deceased from Uttar Pradesh have been identified as Praveen Madhav Singh of Varanasi and Jairam Gupta and Angad Gupta of Gorakhpur. The deceased from Andhra Pradesh have been identified as T Lokanandam of Srikakulam district, M Satyanarayana of West Godavari and M Iswarudu.
