Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday accused the Congress, National Conference and PDP of "placing stones in the hands of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir" and ruining their future for political gain. Addressing an election rally in Srinagar, he vowed that he would not allow the "three families of Jammu and Kashmir" to destroy another generation of the erstwhile state.

"Our youth were away from school-college studies and these three families (Congress, NC and PDP) were happy to put stones in their hands. These people have ruined the future of our children for their own benefit... Every force is conspiring. PM ​​Modi said. That, Jammu and Kashmir will have to be lost, Modi's aim is to provide employment to the youth here.

BJP claims that Congress, NC and PDP are all three parties doing dynastic politics.

"I will not let our second generation be ruined by these 3 families. That is why I am working earnestly to restore peace here. Today schools and colleges are running smoothly across Jammu and Kashmir. Children have pens, books and laptops in their hands. Today, there are reports of new schools, new colleges, AIIMS, medical colleges and IITs being built.

He said that all three families believe that it is their birthright to occupy power by any means. He accused them of spreading fear and chaos in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Their political agenda is to deprive the people of Jammu and Kashmir of their legitimate rights. They have only given fear and chaos to Jammu and Kashmir but now Jammu and Kashmir will not be in the grip of these three families... Now our youth is here to challenge them who are The suffering they have faced under the rule of the three families cannot be overstated because they did not allow the youth to advance.

PM Modi claimed that the youth of Union Territories are deprived of education and employment.

"This did not happen because our youth of Jammu and Kashmir failed, but it happened because the three families of Congress, NC and PDP failed," he added.

Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections are taking place after a long gap of 10 years. The first phase of voting was held on September 18 and the second two rounds of voting will be held on September 25 and October 1. The counting of votes will take place on October 8.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a public rally in Srinagar on Thursday, September 19, a day after 59 percent voting in the first phase of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections.

The rally is part of the BJP's campaign to garner support for its candidates in the Valley, where the party has never won a seat before. Of the 47 seats in Kashmir, the BJP has fielded candidates in 19 seats, less than one-third of the total and less than the last assembly elections held in 2014.

“I look forward to being among the people of Jammu and Kashmir today. Will address a rally in Srinagar and Katra. Yesterday’s turnout has shown that the people of J&K are very enthusiastic about the elections and are keen to make the poll process vibrant. I will speak about our development agenda and seek people’s blessings,” PM Modi wrote on X (formerly Twitter)
